Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Leon Pawelzik ("we", "us", "our") and govern your use of the issho mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using issho, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

issho is a calm, ADHD-friendly household and task app for couples and people who share a home. It helps you turn an overwhelming workload into one energy-appropriate next task, and lets partners coordinate shared areas, tasks, and focus sessions. Some features use artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to suggest task steps and to turn photos into tasks. AI output is clearly labeled in the app and may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 16 years old to use issho. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Sign-in and identity verification are handled by Clerk. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Subscriptions, Billing and Cancellation

issho is free to use for its core features. Some features are available through an optional auto-renewable subscription (issho Premium). The subscription options, billing period, and current price are shown in the app before you confirm any purchase.

  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Free trial. If a subscription includes a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
  • Managing and cancelling. Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store account. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device Settings under your Apple ID, in the App Store subscriptions section. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Payments and refunds. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Apple manages all billing; refund requests are handled by Apple according to its policies.

Subscriptions are processed through RevenueCat and the Apple App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

4. Acceptable Use and User Content

issho lets partners share content such as task titles, comments, and appreciation messages. You are responsible for the content you create and share. There is zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, or illegal content and for abusive behavior toward other users.

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable;
  • Harass, abuse, or harm another person;
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
  • Attempt to access, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Service or its infrastructure.

You can report objectionable content or another user, and disconnect from a partner, from within the app. We review reports and may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use issho on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple App Store Terms of Service. You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, sync, and display your content to you and your linked partner so the Service can function.

6. AI-Generated Content

Some content, such as task sub-steps and photo-to-task results, is generated by Google Gemini and is labeled as AI-generated in the app. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. You should use your own judgment before relying on it. You can disable AI features in your settings.

7. Suspension and Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms, in particular the acceptable use rules in Section 4, or where we are required to do so by law. Where reasonably possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action; in cases of serious abuse we may act immediately. If your account is terminated, your license under Section 5 ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law sections) continue to apply.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. issho is a productivity tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, including for ADHD. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI suggestions will be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory consumer protection law.

10. Apple App Store

If you downloaded issho from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • These Terms are an agreement between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the Service. We alone are responsible for maintenance and support, to the extent stated in these Terms or required by law.
  • In the event the Service fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the Service; any other warranty claims are our responsibility.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the Service or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
  • If a third party claims that the Service infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside.
